Antonial Barnes, pseudonym A.L.Beatz, was born on June 28, 1990 in Wylie Texas. Both of his parents were involved musicians with his father being a professional bass player and mother a vocalist. Growing up around musicians he naturally accepted music as a form of expression.
Thanks to his involvement in his local church, A.L.Beatz developed a complex Southern gospel influence that he soulfully intertwines with Jazz, Pop, and R&B. As soon as A.L.Beatz entered Cedar Valley College, he studied under successful Jazz artist like Percussionist Ed Smith, Vocalist Andrea Wallace, and Pianist Mike Bogle. While studying musicianship and audio production at Cedar Valley, A.L.Beatz was honored to win a music scholarship for Jazz Musicianship and Arrangement. During that time A.L.Beatz entered a music contest on Ourstage.com to open up for Drake and reached #1 but was disqualified due to traveling complexities.
After A.L.Beatz left Cedar Valley College, he then attended San Marcos University intending to study Audio Engineering and Minor in Jazz Studies. He was declined by San Marcos School of Music and in return he began to discover his own sound. His sound consist of passionate and soulful melodies while singing about his emotional moments.
Today A.L.Beatz continues to compose music and has worked to produce various artist such as Pudgee Tha Phat Bastard, G.M.C., Eaglesnake and many more.
